Our mission

How will they believe in the one they haven't heard of? Rom 10.14 (the bible)

Do you see in work the opportunity to spend time with unbelievers?
Do you believe that the work to which God has called you is also your own daily ministry and mission?
Do you see the world of work as a mission field?
Do you think that the Christian can be an ambassador of the Gospel in his workplace?

The field of mission that companies constitute is vast and varied. The choice of method is left to the discretion of each group, which will adapt to each situation, the charisma of its members and the specificity of the company.

Isabelle's testimony
"I started reading the Bible in my business"
"I lived until 1986 without asking too many questions. I didn't think of much in fact. It was when our second child arrived that I began to search and question myself.  An event shook me deeply and pushed me to a more active search.
At that time, Daniel, a  colleague, started a Biblical Business Group (GBE) within EDF company. It was an opportunity to read the Bible or to discover or deepen it. I always believed in God, I loved God very much. So I was naturally one of the first to join this group. We used to meet every week at lunchtime. The meeting took place within the company around a group of 5 to 6 people. We decided to read a specific part from the Bible together or one of us did personal research on a particular topic. Together, we learned to delve into the Bible to feed our thinking.
We also talked a lot. How patient the group leader was! I had a lot of questions: Why was I missing something since I knew God? Why babies could be victims? ... At the same time, I also went to seek among the Buddhists, I read on esotericism, the cabbala ... yet at the same time  I was very assiduous with the biblical group. In fact, I was waiting for a sudden revelation until I realized that I was missing Jesus ...

One day, I planted a knife in my hand while storing the dishwasher. IAt that time I started to understand what Jesus did for me. The pain I felt was nothing compared to what he had endured.  I realized the pain of Jesus: abandoned by his friends, tortured, victim of a terrible injustice and then crucified. And all of that for human being : the good ones like those we call bad, for those he knew as well as for the people to come like me. It is  unbelievable  but he did it.

A new life has started. I decided to give my life to the Lord. And when Daniel left the company, I had no idea that the Bible group could stop. So I took responsibility for it until I retired in 2000. Then I taught the children the faith, trained adults to prepare them for baptism, animated the songs in my Church. Today I visit the elderly who no longer see anyone or those who have mental health issues. It’s sometimes very hard and I have been exhausted several times, but a commitment is a commitment.
Thanks to the biblical group, my faith became an alive faith!
